This year, the penetration rate of new energy Vehicles (NEVs) in China's passenger car market has exceeded 40%, positioning the country far ahead of others, with global green and low-carbon trends becoming the prevailing direction. As a key division of Dongfeng Group’s independent passenger vehicle sector, Dongfeng Forthing, under the leadership of the Group's "Forthing Rise, Technology Leap" strategy and three-year action plan for the new energy transformation, is committed to investing in the new energy transition. Building on over two decades of technical expertise, the company is poised for a second entrepreneurial leap under the banner of “New Forthing,New Dawn.”
Dongfeng Forthing’s new energy strategy is now in its full execution phase, having completed the basic layout of its product lineup. On November 3, the company showcased three all-new NEV models—Mpvs, SUVs, and sedans—marking the first stage of its product development. Industry partners, media, and stakeholders have highly recognized the company's development plans, products, and achievements, expressing strong confidence in the prospects of Dongfeng Forthing’s growth in the new energy sector.
With its profound brand heritage and technical foundation, Dongfeng Forthing continues to deliver competitive products and technologies. It leverages the Group's full-value-chain resources, including leading technologies in new energy brand strategy, electrification platform, and core powertrains and components. Additionally, Dongfeng Forthing has independently developed the Super EMA-E architecture, the industry’s first four-speed DHT Super Hybrid System, and the 3.0 Armor Battery, comprehensively preparing for the challenges of new energy transformation and promoting green, efficient, and low-carbon development.
To accelerate its new energy transition, Dongfeng Forthing will also launch a new energy brand. Through innovation in technology, management, and branding, the company aims to ride the wave of the new energy revolution. Supported by the Group, Dongfeng Forthing is implementing innovative management mechanisms, including the collaborative launch of the "Longxing Project" with the Group and local governments, which aims to build a capacity system for 300,000 new energy vehicle production and sales. It is also partnering with Huawei to advance integrated product development and investing 20 billion yuan to create a 1,000-person innovation team. The company is also assembling a top-tier ecosystem of partners, including Bosch, United Semiconductor (UES), Huawei, Tencent, AutoNavi, and iFlytek, to develop technologies and ensure reliable vehicle quality and safety.

With robust technologies, flexible innovation mechanisms, substantial financial investments, and a strong ecosystem of world-class partnerships, Dongfeng Forthing’s new brand will be positioned as a new force under Dongfeng’s umbrella. In 2024, the company plans to launch a total of 13 new energy models across electric, hybrid, and extended-range variants, entering full-speed mode in the NEV race. Dongfeng Forthing is set to accelerate and produce high-quality results, emerging as a leading mainstream NEV brand loved by consumers, and showcasing the charm of the “Forthing” name to a broader audience.
Simultaneously, Dongfeng Forthing is actively expanding its presence in international markets. From debuting four NEV models at the Munich Auto Show to exporting the Forthing FRIDAY to Germany, Israel, and other European and Asian markets, the company is pushing forward to establish Dongfeng Forthing as a world-class global brand.
